That is more than enough for me. I am not into gaming but edit movies, pictures, create loads of documents and build webpages...I actually only have a dual core but it goes like a rocket for me...And yes it intel... I have had AMD and they had a bad rep but they have really picked up their game...Intel should be worried about the competition..

Way to much for me to handle, plus I'm more of a console gamer.

Computers are like highways, most of the time they only need one lane, and all those resources are wasted except for the couple hours of the day that the traffic is heavy. i personally am glad the govt. overkills on the roads though, it makes things a lot easier when those peak traffic times come.

My own computer is way overkill, pretty silly really, but I'd rather buy bigger monitors than a plasma screen for the living room because I rarely watch TV.

I dont need an i7, my current quadcore works very well, but i still plan on getting an i7!  Computers are a passion, logic does not apply. You'll be able to prise my mouse from my cold, stiffened fingers when I die. Some like to have fast cars or fast women, i like fast computers. Mind you, I think I could enjoy all 3...

Very well put, but I think it's amazing how advanced technology is getting.
I recently saw something on TV about actual holograms up and running, so who knows what will be around the corner. So yes we all agree overly fast computers are tops., but fast women...that's a whole other story.
