Yeah good question...

Grow a vege garden. Have a cow. Get chickens.
Don't spend any money unless you need the item.
Reduce your bills...Cut the internet off.. (yeah right)
Car pool or take the bus, or even worse....WALK.
Cut your own hair. Buy some of those electric clippers for the boys.
Make your own cheap dog and cat food. (for the dog or cat)
Use the barter system.
Turn off lights you don't need. Unplug cords. Turn off standby lights on tv's.
Wash and detail your own car.
Don't waste food. Freeze unused food and plan when to eat it.
Don't buy expensive cleaning products. Vinegar, bicarb soda, vanilla essence, and eucalyptus oil cleans everything.
Don't pay for tv!!!! Get outside and see the world or go on the internet! LOL
Give up all the fun stuff, smoking, drinking, going out to dinner, movies, and all the other treats.
Just be happy with smelling the roses because thats all the entertainment thats left. (not true, theres other things)
Become a vegetarian. Bake your own bread and cakes.
The list goes on and on..

Anyway guys I have another website Fill Your Money Box which has some posts that might be interesting given the current economic climate around the world. If you have an good ideas on how to save money let us know there...

Shocked I'd rather not save money, slaughtering cattle and chickens isn't for me.

Cows provide milk, chickens provide eggs. Both provide manure, great for growing soy beans so you can make soybean milk and tofu. Then you can have tofu steak and eggs, washed down by a nice cup of fresh milk Wink

Bugger that, I'm off to Hungry Jacks for a slaughtered cow burger and coke Cheesy

Yeah my Mum has tried growing veges in the garden here, you see the thing wrong here is that any plant or flower my Mum gets usually dies within a week or 2 most probably because she hardly waters them, so she got them at the beginning of July or round about and they were going well (only because it was raining decent amounts and my Dad remembered to water them), then I watered them for 2-3 week period from the beginning of August and they were going crazy and growing like mad (I must have a Gardeners touch Grin), I got some green beans, tomatoes and cucumbers growing and the flowers have bloomed very well, now since I stopped watering them and it went back to my Mum watering them, the vege plants are now pretty much dead or have got the death sentence now and aren't growing anything, the flowers are only just surviving because of it raining quite a lot.

Oh well it didn't save much money but guess it's there Smiley

The point is !!!! Is anyone saving money? It is harder to earn the money than it is to save it. I personally would not be that desparate that I would kill a cow..but I would grow a vege garden and become a vegetarian if I had to save money. And I would have chooks to lay eggs but thats it..
If you do eat veges a vege garden can save you loads of money and its good for you !!!!

A vegetarian?! I couldn't live without a grease covered hunk of fat wrapped in a bun with cheese on the top (more commonly referred to as a cheeseburger). Grin

Tofu can be ok if it is cooked correctly. But otherwise it is slimey and soft like a more solid jelly. And it is not cheap. So you are better off eating from the vege garden, and Hungry Jacks.. ($5 meal)
